Named for our favorite Washington city! Tacoma Punk is a nod to the bartender who authored one of the two products used to make it.

A couple of years ago, a major airline approached us about making a signature cocktail for their First and Business Class customers. They wanted something light and appealing to everyone. We suggested the Spritz and offered to send a series of products that they could mix with. We also made a custom product for them- Tacoma Punk. 

Except it wasn't named that then- it was simply what we had in the tank at the time- Orange curacao and Amaro #4. We combined unsweetened Orange Curacao to finished Amaro 4 in equal parts, and ta da! Tacoma Punk was born. 

We shipped samples to the airline and then their beverage director left and the program idea went with him. But to make the sample we had to make a tank of product and we had some left over. Mac, Connor and I really liked it. We decided that we should bottle it up. We named it Tacoma Punk after Patrick Haight, the bartender we had partnered with to make Amaro 4. 

He owns a bar in Tacoma and when I was describing it to bartenders not from the area, I called him a 'Tacoma Punk'. 

It's a spicy orange- all the round orangeness of the curacao married to hibiscus, grapefruit, eucalyptus and cayenne on the finish. Sweetened with a cane based simple syrup that has eucalyptus cooked into it.
